Itinerary
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport at 10:30 p.m., you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari representative and transferred to your hotel in Entebbe. The rest of the night is for rest and recovery in preparation for your safari adventure.
After an early breakfast, depart northwards to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to Uganda’s only wild rhinos. Enjoy a guided walking safari where you track these magnificent animals on foot in open savannah woodland. This thrilling experience brings you just meters away from the rhinos, offering incredible photo opportunities. After lunch, continue to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the afternoon. Check in, relax, and enjoy dinner at the lodge.
Begin the day with an early morning game drive across the park’s northern plains, home to elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, lions, antelopes, and diverse birdlife including the rare saddle-billed stork. Return to the lodge for lunch, then embark on a 3-hour boat cruise along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. Witness hippos, crocodiles, and wildlife gathering at the riverbanks before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls and journey southwest through Uganda’s countryside to Kibale Forest National Park. Travel via Kyenjojo and Fort Portal, enjoying views of rolling hills, tea plantations, and the Rwenzori Mountains. Arrive in the afternoon, check in, and relax at your lodge.
After breakfast, head to Kibale Forest headquarters for a briefing before starting your chimpanzee tracking experience. Trek through lush rainforest in search of chimpanzees and other primates such as black-and-white colobus and grey-cheeked mangabeys. After lunch, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving by early evening. Check in, refresh, and enjoy dinner.
Start with an early morning game drive to catch predators in action and spot elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and birdlife. Later, visit the Katwe Salt Crater Lake to learn about traditional salt mining. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, famous for its high concentration of hippos, crocodiles, and water birds. Evening game drive and return to the lodge.
After breakfast, drive south through the Ishasha sector, searching for the famous tree-climbing lions resting in fig trees. Enjoy game viewing of elephants, antelopes, and forest-edge species. After a picnic lunch, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in the evening.
After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. Trek through dense rainforest guided by experienced rangers until you locate a gorilla family. Spend one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants. Receive your gorilla trekking certificates, then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, arriving in the evening.
After breakfast, depart Lake Bunyonyi and travel back toward Entebbe. Stop at the Uganda Equator for photos, lunch, and souvenir shopping. Arrive in Entebbe by early evening and check in at your hotel.
After an early breakfast, depart to Mabamba Swamp on Lake Victoria for a canoe excursion in search of the rare Shoebill Stork, as well as other wetland bird species. Return to the hotel in the afternoon for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
